China praises America’s decision to exempt some devices from customs duties
China praised the decision of the United States of America to exempt some devices from customs duties.
The Chinese government stated that the United States’ decision to exempt some consumer electronic devices, which is called mutual customs duties, is a small step towards correcting their mistakes, and urged Washington to make more efforts to cancel the fees.
The administration of US President Donald Trump excluded smartphones, computers and other electronic devices from the increasing customs duties yesterday, Friday, which led to the narrowing of its 125% customs definitions on goods from China and 10% on imports from most other countries, according to Bloomberg News Agency on Sunday.

Return to the right track
“This is a small step by the United States to correct its wrongful work of imposing mutual tariffs from one side,” said the Chinese Ministry of Commerce in a statement published on its official account on the WITAT CATS application today.
The United States urged “to take a big step towards completely canceling this wrong action, and returning to the right track to resolve differences through equal dialogue based on mutual respect.”
