The start of the Dubai International Wood Exhibition with the participation of 50 countries

Dubai, April 14 / WAM / The activities of the twenty -first edition of the Dubai International Wood and Woody Meccan Exhibition, with the participation of 781 exhibitors representing more than 1662 brands from 50 countries, and will continue until April 16.
The exhibition was opened by Maher Abdel Karim Jalfar, Executive Vice President at the Dubai World Trade Center, in the presence of a number of senior officials and representatives of local and international companies.
Julphar confirmed during a tour of the exhibition that the event is a strategic platform to support the Dubai Economic Agency D33, attract foreign investments, and enhance the emirate’s position as an advanced industrial and logistical center at the region level.
Dawood Al -Shizawi, head of the exhibition, said that the event represents a pivotal platform to advance the wheel of industrial and commercial growth in Dubai, noting that the exhibition links manufacturers, distributors and investors in a sector that witnesses an increasing demand for wood and natural materials, especially in the construction, design and decoration sectors.
The exhibition includes 12 international pavilions from countries, including Portugal, Gabon, China, the United States, India, Italy, Turkey, Russia, France, Germany, Austria, and Egypt that offer advanced products and technologies in the field of wood, which reflects the global diversity and investment opportunities embraced by the event.
Participants showcase a variety of products that include wood panels of all kinds, solid wood, soft wood, edges, machinery and equipment, paint, adhesive materials, furniture accessories, logistical services, and software.
As part of the activities of the first day, several dialogue sessions and workshops were held, which dealt with the forecasts of the wood market in the Middle East and North Africa, and the analysis of the global shipping market and its impact on the logistical services sector, as well as discussing the latest trends of the wood market in northern and central Europe and North Africa.
In conjunction with the event, the activities of the seventh session of the “Dubai International Fair for Aquariums, Furniture components and semi -ready products”, which reviews new technologies in the furniture sector, and allows visitors an opportunity to see products that include locks, hinges, ready or semi -ready cabinets, production tools and equipment, upholstery materials, decorations, and interior finishes.
