The conclusion of the activities of the joint annual conference on blood diseases and the cultivation of stem cells in Jeddah

The activities of the joint annual conference of the Saudi Society for Hematology and the Saudi Society for Stem Cell Transplant, which was held under the umbrella of King Abdulaziz University, were concluded in Jeddah, during the period (11 to 12 April 2025). The conference reviewed the most important findings of scientific research and the latest developments in blood diseases with the participation of a group of specialists at the Kingdom level, where the schedule of its ten sessions discussed over two days, several main axes in the field of blood diseases, It included sickle cell anemia, snowymia, hemorrhagic disorders and venous strokes, in addition to blood and lymphocytes, and the sessions also dealt with the latest developments in advanced treatments, such as stem cell transplantation, TB cell treatments, and genetic therapy, which is one of the latest science in this field.

The conference witnessed a remarkable presence with the participation of more than (500) doctors, specialists and researchers, in addition to more than (48) speakers and president of a session of the elite medical competencies. The conference also presented many scientific research and posters that reflected the extent of progress and development witnessed by the specialization of hematology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
