His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him, announced the establishment of an office for legislative intelligence to develop legislation mechanisms in the Emirates.
His Highness said in his account via the “X” platform: “Today I headed a meeting of the Council of Ministers at the Palace of Al -Watan in Abu Dhabi … during which we decided to develop the legislation mechanisms in the UAE through the establishment of an office for legislative intelligence within the Council of Ministers … The office will develop an integrated legislative map for all federal and local legislation in the state, and link it through artificial intelligence with all judicial rulings, executive procedures and services provided to the public … The new system will allow to monitor the impact of new legislation on the public and the economy on a daily basis through integration with huge data .. and the proposal of legislative amendments continuously .. The new system will be related to global research and development centers to follow up the best global policies and legislation and how it can be used in the UAE.
His Highness added, “The new system of legislation based on artificial intelligence will make a qualitative shift in the legislation cycle, its speed and accuracy in a manner that guarantees our national legislative superiority and keeping pace with our laws for best practices and for the highest aspirations in a manner commensurate with the specificity of our accelerating development experience.”
His Highness continued, “We reviewed today the developments of the tax system in the country, which supports financial sustainability in the country and ensures the consolidation of our global competitiveness … The state comes in the fifth place globally in the efficiency of tax policies and the second globally in combating tax evasion according to the annual report of the IMD Institute in Switzerland. These efforts culminated in the work team in registering 520 thousand companies in corporate tax and 470 thousand registered in the value -added tax “.
His Highness added, “The tax system is an important part of completing the economic infrastructure of the future … The efficiency of this system is an indication of the strength of the competitiveness of the economy … and the tax culture is a new culture that has been successfully established during the last period.
His Highness said, “We adopted 44 international agreements within the Council of Ministers in the economic, developmental and governmental fields, in addition to adopting the start of negotiations on agreements to protect and encourage investments with 30 countries around the world … The UAE will continue to build investment and economic bridges with all friendly and sister countries and continue the same economic approach that established our competitiveness and our global economic center in linking East and West.”
His Highness added, “In the cabinet session today, we briefed the results of the” Transplant Emirates “campaign that we launched at the beginning of the season … We also briefed us on the results of the application of the national strategy for sports and the annual report on the risk of money laundering and terrorist financing in the country. We also reviewed the results of the application of the new financing mechanisms for the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program where 9400 approval has been issued worth 7.5 billion dirhams during the previous three years .. and will continue to work on developing mechanisms to ensure that guarantees Compatible with annual housing increases.
