Spanish attempts to change Washington’s position on customs duties

Spanish Economy Minister Carlos Cuwarbo is heading to Washington on Tuesday for talks with US officials, he announced on Monday, at a time when the European Union is seeking to reach an agreement with the United States on.

Customs war

Trump said he would impose 20%customs duties on goods from the European Union, while the latter announced that he would take counter -action if negotiations with Washington fail.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez promised a 14.1 billion euro aid package to help local sectors such as olive oil and wine to withstand the trade war.
