Dubai World Ports enhance autism awareness through a trip to a base camp "Everest"

Dubai, April 15 / WAM / The Center for Mental and Physical Excellence, affiliated with Dubai World Ports, launched an initiative aimed at enhancing awareness of autism spectrum disorder and highlighting the support and treatment programs available for children with it in the United Arab Emirates, to celebrate the month of awareness of the autism spectrum disorder in April.
The center is leading a strategic partnership by sponsoring a trip to the Everest base camp led by the global adventurer and former British Special Forces member “You are Middleton”.
The initiative attracts wide cooperation between prominent local and international bodies to highlight the importance of providing comprehensive and multidisciplinary treatment programs, based on the latest scientific research, to help children with mental and physical challenges.
A specialized team from the Center for Mental and Physical Excellence will participate in the trip, provided that their experience is documented through a documentary film that will be broadcast through multiple platforms with the aim of reaching the largest possible segment of the audience.
Dr. Kraig Cook, CEO of the Center for Mental and Physical Excellence, said: We believe that every child deserves to have the opportunity to reach his fullest potential, and by raising the level of awareness and collecting community support, we can make a sustainable positive impact on the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder and their families.
For his part, you stressed the importance of this initiative, and said that the mountain acclimatization journey of the Everest base embodies the strength and steadfastness that these children and their families show daily, noting the importance of contributing to increasing awareness of the autism spectrum disorder and highlighting the work of the Center for Mental and Physical Excellence of Dubai World Ports.
