The growth of the Chinese economy by 5.4% on an annual basis during the first quarter

BEIJING, April 16/ WAM/ The GDP of China achieved a growth of 5.4 % on an annual basis during the first quarter of 2025, according to the data issued today “Wednesday” by the Chinese National Statistics Authority.

The data showed that the country’s gross domestic product reached 31,8758 trillion yuan “about 4.42 trillion US dollars” during the mentioned period.

The economy grew by 1.2 % on a quarterly basis during the first three months of this year.

China’s gross domestic product increased by 5% on an annual basis during the past year, while the country set its goal for economic growth at about 5% for the entire year of 2025.
