The World Economic Forum chooses 3 Emirati personalities to join the Young Global Leadership Council 2025

The World Economy Forum announced the choice of Shama Bint Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Community Empowerment, Mira Sultan Al Suwaidi, member of the Federal National Council, and Waddah Al -Hinai, Assistant Professor of Information Technology at New York University Abu Dhabi, for the membership of the Young World Leadership Council 2025.
The choice of 3 Emirati personalities, including two personalities from the UAE government and the Federal National Council, in addition to an Emirati university cadre, in the World Council that includes a group of young leadership figures from around the world who managed to achieve achievements and left a clear imprint in their fields, the great role played by young people in the UAE, especially in leadership positions, their pivotal role in decision -making, formulation of visions and strategies that support the march Comprehensive and sustainable development in various sectors, and the high position that the state enjoys in international circles, and the high global development model of the Emirati appreciation at all levels.
Empowering Emirati women a fixed national approach
This step is also the fruit of the constant rational leadership approach, in empowering Emirati women, and providing all the ingredients for them to participate strongly in various sectors.
The World Economy Forum for the Forum selects the forum of members of the most prominent young international leaders who are under the age of 40, and includes public figures, businessmen, social business leaders, leaders of academic, social, cultural and sports sectors, civil society and media institutions, and others.
Shamma Bint Suhail Al Mazrouei
Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouei held the position of Minister of Community Development in February 2023, before her name was changed to the Ministry of Community Empowerment in 2024, and she assumed the position of Minister of State for Youth Affairs in February 20216, and also worked in one of the sovereign wealth funds in Abu Dhabi, in addition to her work as a public policy analyst within the UAE mission of the United Nations, and worked as a policy analyst in the Cabinet Office, and as a research analyst at the Embassy of the State In Washington, a researcher in the field of education policies at the “empowerment” of the Executive Affairs Authority.
She obtained a master’s degree in public policies with honors from Oxford University in the United Kingdom in 2015, as was the first student from the UAE to win the Rhodes Grant for Young Leaders in Government Work, and among the best students in the batch at the time, and her Excellency also obtained a Bachelor’s degree in the economy with higher honors as the best 5% of New York University students for the year 2014.
Mira Sultan Al Suwaidi
Mira Sultan Al -Suwaidi is the position of member of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the Federal National Council, and works as an observer and member of the Parliamentary Division Group, in addition to the position of head of the sovereign partnerships department in Mubadala Investment Company, and since joining Mubadala in 2007 she held a number of senior positions within the company.
Al -Suwaidi played a major role in establishing Hub71; The vital global technology system that contributed to enhancing the position of Abu Dhabi as the headquarters of the next generation of startups and technology companies, and currently holds the membership of the Board of Directors at the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, “Midshens” and the Marmah Marmah Bank, and the position of adviser to the Vice President of New York University Abu Dhabi, and Al -Suwaidi holds a master’s degree in public affairs from the Institute of Political Science in France, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting with appreciation Franching with honors from the American University of Dubai.
Waddah Al -Hinai
Taqi Waddah Al -Hinai, Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi, works in the field of interaction between man and the computer machine, and the development of systems that measure the subjective elements of human experience, such as the characteristics of a group of people that constitute a successful team, and the elements that make the idea of achieving success in the market, and how the audience determines individual competence from just a personal image, which is an engineer, a scientist and a researcher who works has been presented in publications Like Wall Street Journal and Wired, and others, and her works are also published in many prestigious research places.
Al -Hinai won the MIT Technology Review for Best Best Best Innovated Under 35 in the Middle East and North Africa in 2018, and the student’s medal on the category of graduate studies at the fifth session of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Prize for Distinguished Government Performance, in 2019.
A prominent Emirati presence

It is noteworthy that the government of the UAE, which is linked to a strategic partnership with the World Economic Forum, has launched the young government leadership program 2024 as part of the annual meetings of the UAE government 2024, to focus on the discovery of young leaders in government work at the state level.
In its first session, the program included 45 participants from young leaders from various government agencies at the federal and local levels in the country, and formed a national platform for building the exceptional capabilities and skills that have a high sense of responsibility, the spirit of initiative, and strategic leadership capabilities that make them a ready generation to make a better future for the UAE.
