The UAE and China strengthens their cooperation in the energy sector

Abu Dhabi, April 18/ WAM/ ADNOC announced today the establishment of an office in Beijing, which aims to enhance long -term trade relations between the company, its customers and its partners in the People’s Republic of China.
This announcement came during the visit by His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al -Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Managing Director and CEO of Adenk and its group of companies, to China, during which “ADNOC” announced three agreements to supply LNG, including the largest agreement between the UAE and China in this field in terms of size, in a way that establishes the status of “ADNOC” as a global provider and a reliable energy.
His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al -Jaber said that in line with the vision of the wise leadership by extending and strengthening bridges of communication and cooperation, “ADNOC” focuses on building and strengthening qualitative partnerships that contribute to creating new opportunities for economic growth and progress.
He added that the opening of an office in Beijing is a distinguished new step within the efforts of “ADNOC” to enhance its long -term partnerships in the energy sector with its customers and its partners in the friendly People’s Republic of China, stressing that the opening of the office and the signing of agreements to supply LNG, are important steps that contribute to documenting cooperation with our Chinese partners, and creating new opportunities to achieve the maximum possible benefit across various aspects and areas of the value chain for the energy sector.
The new “ADNOC” office will focus on the company’s sales and marketing activities in China, and it was attended by a number of senior officials and business leaders, including representatives of the most important Chinese “ADNOC” partners, such as the “Chinese National Petroleum Corporation”, “Channa Oil”, and “Wanwa” for chemicals, and others.
LNG supply agreements include a “sale and purchase agreement” with ENN LNG LNG “Singapore” BTEN “, a subsidiary and a fully owned company for EN NN, Ltd., one of the largest private energy companies in China.
Within the framework of this agreement, up to one million tons annually of LNG from the Ruwais LNG project will be supplied for 15 years, as this is the largest agreement in terms of size that is signed between the UAE and a Chinese partner to supply LNG.
ADNOC Commercial Company also announced two agreements with the “Sinok Gas and Energy Group” and “Channa Oil”, which included signing contracts to supply LNG.
It is noteworthy that the People’s Republic of China, thanks to its continuous cooperation and strategic partnership for many years with the UAE, is currently one of the largest importers of “ADNOC” products.
With the continued growth of its economy, which is the second largest economy in the world, its demand is expected to grow on various energy sources, while “ADNOC” continues to consolidate its position in a reliable and long -term global partner in the energy sector, and contributes through its partnerships and commercial relations to create and enhance value and advance the wheel of progress and sustainable economic growth.
