Zelinski thanks the UAE for its efforts to release the prisoners

Ukrainian President Foludmir Zellinski thanked the UAE for its efforts after the success of its mediation again in the release of 277 Ukrainian prisoners as part of an exchange of the release of 538 prisoners between Russia and Ukraine.

“Our citizens have returned home – one of the best news that could be. 277 other warriors have returned home from Russian families.”

The UAE announced the success of mediation efforts made between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Ukraine that led to the completion of the largest prisoner exchange since the outbreak of the conflict between the two countries, and included 246 prisoners from the Ukrainian side and 246 prisoners from the Russian side, and the mediation process also included the exchange of a number of injured between the two sides, as it included 31 Ukrainian injuries and 15 Russian injured people with a total of 538 prisoners, bringing the total number of prisoners Those who were exchanged between the two countries in these mediations to 3,771 prisoners

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its thanks to the two countries for their cooperation in the success of the Emirati mediation efforts, which reflects their confidence and appreciation for the state’s keenness to support all endeavors to resolve the crisis between the two countries..

The ministry stated that with the success of this mediation, the total Emirati mediation that took place during the crisis was 14 mediation, which comes out of the distinguished relations that bring the UAE in both the Russian Federation and Ukraine..

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the UAE will continue its endeavors to the success of various efforts to reach a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine, and to alleviate the human effects resulting from the crisis such as refugees and prisoners.
