المملكة: Acting participation .. Details of the activities of the Environment Week 2025 in Makkah Al -Mukarramah

The branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Makkah Al -Mukarramah Region is inaugurated by the Environmental Department and the Ministry’s Office in Jeddah Governorate tomorrow, the activities and exhibition of the Environment Week 2025.
This is under the slogan “Our Environment Treasure” in the context of national efforts to enhance environmental awareness and achieve comprehensive sustainability goals.

Events and exhibition of Environment Week 2025

The activities and exhibition of the Environment Week, which lasts until the 26th of April, includes the front squares of “The Felg Mall”, educational and entertainment programs, workshops and specialized discussion sessions.
A group of experts and specialists in the fields of the environment and sustainability participate in it, in addition to awareness campaigns through the media and social media platforms, highlighting the importance of preserving natural resources and ensuring their sustainability for future generations.
A number of officials and personalities interested in environmental affairs also participate in the exhibition, as well as male and female students from various educational levels.

Introductionary wings and interactive shows

The program includes introductory wings, interactive shows and innovative solutions presented by local bodies and environmental partners; In order to spread environmental culture and enhance sustainable positive behaviors, in line with the Kingdom’s 2030 vision targets.
The activities are witnessing an active participation of environmental societies and a number of government agencies, the private sector and institutions concerned with environmental sustainability.
The Director General of the Ministry’s branch in Makkah Al -Mukarramah Region, Majid Al -Khalif, explained that the inauguration of the Environment Week comes to confirm the Ministry’s commitment to enhance environmental awareness and consolidate sustainable behaviors among all groups of society.

Achieving a healthy and safe environment

He pointed out that environmental protection represents a common national responsibility that requires widespread cooperation between individuals and institutions.
Al -Khalif stressed that the environment is the true wealth on which life, health and economics are based, indicating that everyone should preserve it to ensure a safe and sustainable future for future generations.
The exhibition activities emphasize the importance of integration between the governmental and private sector parties and environmental societies in adopting sound environmental practices, and supporting efforts to achieve a healthy and safe environment that reflects the Kingdom’s aspirations towards sustainable and comprehensive development.
