"Dubai International" He gets a carbon accreditation certificate from the International Airport Council

Dubai, April 22/ WAM/ Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, received a fourth -level carbon airport certificate of “transformation” from the International Airports Council, during the regional assembly of the International Airports Council in Asia, Pacific and Middle East.
According to a press release issued by Dubai airports, today, this accreditation, which was officially granted this month, enhances the position of Dubai International Airport between the elite of global airports that managed to reduce absolute emissions, which are working to lead initiatives with the various parties concerned in the aviation sector to push positive change.
This achievement, which coincides with the celebration of Earth Day, reflects the continuous commitment of Dubai airports to achieve the UAE’s goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050, while Dubai airports have put a long -term strategy for carbon removal, and are actively implemented through a series of influential initiatives.
These initiatives include enhancing energy efficiency in various buildings and infrastructure, creating the largest solar energy system on the surfaces of airports in the area in Building 2, in addition to creating waste transfer systems into fertilizer, and converting vehicles operating in the airport square into biofural diesel fuel.
