Abu Dhabi, April 22 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Development Fund participated in the inauguration ceremony of the solar power plant in the United Republic of the United Nar, which was funded by the Fund at a cost of 25.7 million dirhams, equivalent to 7 million dollars, in a pivotal step that supports the development of the national economy, and to meet the increasing demand for electric energy in the Republic of the Moon.
The station, whose production capacity reaches 6.3 megawatts, contributes to raising the efficiency of the energy sector in the country and its sustainability from renewable sources, which contributes positively to enhancing the electrical energy structure in the capital “Moroni” and its surrounding areas, and raising the level of the quality of the living life of the population, and the project also aims to reduce carbon emissions harmful to the environment, maintain natural resources and reduce the effects of climate change.
The project, His Excellency Othman Ghazali, President of the United Republic of the Moon, inaugurated the presence of His Excellency Juma Rashid Al -Rumaithi, the UAE’s ambassador to the United Republic of the United Nations, and a number of senior government officials in both countries.
His Excellency Othman Ghazali stressed that the United Arab Emirates has a record of exceptional achievements in the field of supporting qualitative projects in renewable energy, in addition to its advanced role in climate work, and this embodies the pioneering role played by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development and its keenness to establish global concepts of sustainability, enhance innovative solutions and employ modern technological technologies, in an effort to support energy projects on a global level.

The Solar Power Station project in the United Republic of the United Republic is increasing the production of electricity in the country, as the station will be linked through medium pressure lines with a capacity of 20 kV to transfer electricity in a sustainable manner, which contributes to the stability of electric power supply in the region.
It is noteworthy that the Abu Dhabi Development Fund began its development activity in the United Republic of the United Natel in 1979, where soft loans and government grants were provided with a total value of 439.4 million dirhams, which were devoted to implementing development projects within vital sectors such as health, education, electricity, transportation, etc., which contributed to achieving economic and social development in the country.
