The start of the annual professions exhibition and forum at the Royal University of Girls

Under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Muhammad Al Khalifa – Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor, and in the presence of the President of the Royal University for Girls, Professor Riyad Hamza, the university launched the activities of the annual profession exhibition and forum on its university campus, with the wide participation of public and private sector institutions in the Kingdom.

The organization of this prominent exhibition comes within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Labor to enhance professional guidance, and to enable Bahraini youth to explore the available job and training opportunities in the labor market, which contributes to bridging the gap between education outcomes and market needs.

The opening ceremony witnessed the presence of a group of officials and members of the academic and administrative bodies, as well as a large number of female students, graduates and those interested in developing their professional paths. His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Muhammad Al Khalifa expressed his pride in the auspices of this event, stressing the importance of supporting initiatives that contribute to qualifying national cadres and raising their efficiency, stressing the vital role of the exhibition in building an active communication bridges between young people and employers.

The exhibition included various wings for a number of companies and institutions from various sectors, through which it provided comprehensive information about employment and training opportunities, with the aim of supporting female students and enhancing their readiness for the labor market.

In addition to the exhibition, dialogue sessions and specialized workshops were organized that dealt with pivotal topics related to the future of the labor market, the required skills, and entrepreneurship. Among these activities, a major dialogue session entitled: “The Skills Gap and Market requirements in Bahrain”, moderated by Dr. Nihal Al -Najjar, Director of Student Affairs at the University. And participated in it:

• Dr. Mazen Ali, President of the ISACA Association – Bahrain

• Mr. Ali Akbar Al -Akali, a judge and a certified broker at the Ministry of Justice, a lawyer and legal advisor, and co -founder of Mezal, Marhoon, Alaali and Associats

• Mrs. Jordan Sieman, Head of the Human Resources Department at InvestCorp
