The “Fujairah Environment Emergency” monitors abuses in a factory in “Thoban” and its activity is temporarily stopped

During an evening control tour, the emergency team at the Fujairah Environment Authority monitored environmental violations in one of the factories located in Thoban Industrial Zone, where the team immediately started evaluating the factory status and the work mechanism inside it, and taking the necessary legal measures, ensuring that it does not affect the neighboring residential areas.

The authority stated that the progress of operational operations inside the factory was accurate, by examining the stages of production, the quality of the materials used, the mechanism of disposal of waste and the resulting emissions, in addition to reviewing the extent of the facility’s commitment to the application of self -control systems, and environmental monitoring records, if any.

The team also held a meeting with the director of operations at the factory, during which he discussed the most prominent violations observed, and submitted direct directions to correct the operational track, in a manner that ensures the avoidance of repetition and the achievement of compatibility with the environmental requirements and the standards approved at the state level.

The authority emphasized that, based on the results of the evaluation, a decision was taken to stop the violating activity temporarily until the fulfillment of environmental requirements, and the presentation of a clear and approved corrective plan, within the framework of the Preventive Authority’s approach aimed at preserving the health of society and the safety of environmental systems from any possible negative pollutants or effects.

The authority renewed its confirmation of its readiness to immediately respond and deal with environmental reports through specialized field teams, calling on members of society to show environmental responsibility and report any violating practices through official channels or through the free number 800368, stressing that the cooperation of everyone contributes to achieving sustainable development goals, and supports the emirate’s efforts in promoting the quality of life and upgrading the level of the local environment.
