Exemption of restaurants and cafes of the waterfront in the Dubai Mall and the Sea Market from rent for 4 months

Emaar Real Estate, Emaar Real Estate, has announced the launch of a rental support initiative targeting food and beverage outlets that occupy areas overlooking the Dubai Fountain and the surrounding lake in the Dubai Mall and the Sea Market, following the closure of the fountain.
The company indicated in a statement that it decided to exempt the tenants from renting the affected areas from the closure of the fountain over a period of 4 months, starting from June to the end of September 2025.
She noted that the exemption decision aims to alleviate the potential impact of the movement of visitors and the experiments offered by restaurants and cafes with external sessions, adding that it is preparing to implement a set of other measures to support visitors’ demand during the closing period.
The Emaar Real Estate Company has announced its intention to conduct a temporary closure of the Dubai fountain, in order to conduct comprehensive update and periodic maintenance, starting next May and extends over a period of five months.
