Exemption of the waterfront stores in the “Dubai Mall” and “Market of the Seas” from rent

Emaar Malls announced the launch of the “Round Support” initiative that targets food and beverage outlets that occupy areas overlooking the “Dubai Fountain”, and the surrounding lake at the Dubai Mall shopping center and “Sea Market”, following the closure of the “Dubai Fountain”, which has long been an attractive head of visitors to these outlets.

The company stated, in a statement yesterday, that with the aim of alleviating the potential impact of the movement of visitors and the experiments offered by restaurants and cafes with external sessions, Emaar decided to exempt the tenants from renting affected areas over the course of four months, starting from June to the end of September 2025.

Besides, Emaar is preparing to implement a set of other measures to enhance the experience of visitors in the region, including the installation of modern digital screens with a length of 400 meters along the waterfront walkway, as this step aims to enrich the site with an attractive optical content that supports visitors’ demand during the fountain closure period.

Given the pivotal role that these elements played in attracting restaurant pioneers and upgrading their experience in general, this initiative demonstrates the commitment of “Emaar” to support its partners in light of the changes in the market.

“Over several years, the Dubai Fountain and the surrounding lake formed a basic pillar of the attractiveness of these destinations, and while we are now planning a new chapter, this rental exemption embodies our commitment to building long -term partnerships, and supporting our tenants to overcome this stage with flexibility and confidence.”

Emaar Malls confirmed that it continues to adhere to the enabling companies, through sustainable solutions that achieve growth and value of their society from retail stores.
