I join Dubai Police Diploma is a real turning point

The Namibia Forensic Expert, the Inspector Katrina Tolla Itongola, is preparing to apply the knowledge and visions it gained during her participation in the specialized diploma in police innovation and international leaders (PIL) organized by the Dubai Police General Command in cooperation with the Rothschester University of Technology, and to contribute to the creation of tangible institutional improvements with the police in its country.
The Iteongola Inspector, who works in the Department of Physics and shells, affiliated with the Institute of Criminal Sciences at the Namibia Police, joined the second edition of the specialized diploma with the aim of exploring how to integrate police innovation, the quality of the officers and leadership of the leadership within one of the most advanced police services in the world.
She said: «For me, joining the (PIL) diploma was a real turning point. Besides its diverse academic content, I enabled the diploma to see closer to the holistic approach that Dubai Police follows in adopting innovation and developing operations, and that innovation in police work is possible even in completely different environments such as we work in Namibia.
Among the most prominent lessons that Itongola Inspector came out is the systematic framework that Dubai Police applies to support the happiness of the officers and their psychological health, through periodic surveys of health well -being, regular follow -up of psychological and physical readiness, and programs directed to lifting morale, Dubai Police has established an integrated system that exceeds the limits of daily tasks. She said: «We have a medical support system in Namibia, but we do not yet measure psychological well -being or functional satisfaction in a systematic way, while the method followed by Dubai Police – through organized feedback and immediate response – is what I intend to apply gradually in the Namibia National Police starting from my division.
And she continued: “This diploma was not just an educational experience, but rather was a reset of the concepts of leadership and innovation, and I will leave Dubai with a renewed sense of responsibility and the desire to apply everything I learned.”
