Saudi academies confirmed that the past decade witnessed historical transformations in the march of empowerment of women, whose effects were reflected on various development sectors, especially in the fields of science, medicine, administrative leadership, and sports.
In their speech to “Today”, on the occasion of the 9th anniversary of the start of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, they indicated that the vision was not satisfied with opening the doors for women, but rather made it an essential pillar in building a sustainable economy and a more comprehensive society, stressing that women’s participation today is no longer a number in employment reports, but rather an actual embodiment of an influential presence and an active role in making the future of the country

The researcher and a physician at Kaost University, Mai Ahmed Al Dhaheri, confirmed that the Kingdom’s 2030 vision constituted a detailed turning point in the march of Saudi women, especially in scientific disciplines.

She explained in her statement to Al -Youm that women have become parties active in environmental development through strategic projects, most notably the national strategy for the sustainability of the Red Sea and the program of resistance to coral reefs. Al -Dhahiri described these transformations as radical and deep, which was reflected in empowering women and their position in areas that were previously limited. She pointed out that raising the percentage of women’s participation in the labor market to 30% was not only a digital goal, but a reflection of the state’s confidence in women’s competencies. The researcher at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (Kaost), Dr. Taiba Al -Amoudi, told Al -Youm that Vision 2030 has caused a qualitative shift in empowering women, which is reflected in the labor market indicators, and women’s successes in new fields.

She emphasized that Saudi women have proven a remarkable presence in specializations that extend from the depths of the seas to space science, which reflects a national vision that invests in minds and talents.
She pointed out that the knowledge -based economy only flourishes by providing opportunities for all and empowering man in various fields.
She added that the continuation of this progress depends on expanding the policies of motivation and incubation, to ensure the full benefit of national women’s energies in making a more innovative and sustainable future.

Women’s position in decision -making centers

The Undersecretary of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering for Research and Innovation at Jeddah University, Dr. Iman Al -Dhaheri, confirmed to “Today” that the Kingdom’s 2030 vision granted the empowerment of women a clear practical dimension.

She pointed out that raising the percentage of her participation in the labor market from 22% to 30% was directly reflected on the diversity of the economy and the promotion of sustainability.
She added that this empowerment did not stop at the numbers, but rather was actually translated into the escalation of women’s presence in decision -making centers and technical sectors.
She emphasized that the continuation of this path requires flexible work environments and supportive legislative policies that guarantee the investment of national women’s energies.
Al Dhaheri stressed that Vision 2030 believes in women’s potential, and makes her participation an indispensable strategic choice in the future of development.

Women today are a difficult number in the labor market

She explained that the percentage of women’s participation in the labor market increased from 19.4% in 2016 to 36.2% by the end of 2024, while women’s unemployment decreased from 33.7% to 11.9%, which confirms the effectiveness of policies and the success of women in seizing opportunities. She added that women exceeded the “presence” stage to become an essential actor in formulating the economic scene.
She said: “We are not just celebrating the numbers, but also the influence of women in formulating policies and making achievement.” She emphasized that empowering women is not a luxury but rather a strategic pillar in building a comprehensive and prosperous homeland.

Driving in precise medical specialties

In her interview with Al -Youm, the advisor to orthopedics and shoulder, Dr. Abed Abdulaziz Al -Badran, said that Saudi women have proven her active presence in accurate medical specialties, thanks to the support provided by Vision 2030.

She emphasized that raising the percentage of women’s participation in the labor market has strengthened equal opportunities, and enabled women’s competencies to excellence in new fields. She stressed that Saudi women are no longer an auxiliary element, but rather a real partner in national development, leading, developing and accomplishing in various vital sectors.

Saudi women in economic development

The pharmacist d. Siham Al -Momadi for “Today”, that Saudi women have had a pivotal position in the Vision 2030, which enabled them to integrate actual into economic and social development.

She pointed out that her participation in the labor market increased from 22% to 36%, supported by qualitative policies, such as the decision to allow leadership, which facilitated its movement and participation in the national economy. She pointed out that Saudi women occupy today ministerial positions and embassies, and they are sparkling in scientific, technical and sports research, and ten medals within two years. She emphasized that these accomplishments would not have been achieved without the support of the leadership, and programs such as “Qara” and “Leaders 2030”, which establishes the participation of women in leading the national transformation.

The Academy confirmed d. Alia Malibari said that the passage of nine years on the launch of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision embodies an inspiring success story for Saudi women, which has become a major partner in the march of national transformation and sustainable development.

She said: “The vision placed the empowerment of women at the heart of their targets, which contributed to raising the percentage of women’s participation in the labor market within a short period, in one of the most prominent social and economic success stories that the Kingdom witnessed.”
Mellibari added that the past years have witnessed unprecedented transformations, as Saudi women are present at the leadership and decision -making sites, and have been positions in vital sectors such as economics, health, education and diplomacy, noting that these qualitative jumps came as a result of the great support that the rational leadership has given to empowering women and giving them equal opportunities.
She explained that the continued development of the work environment, and the promotion of skills and innovation among women, represent two basic pillars to achieve the target of the vision in building a diverse knowledge economy.
