The Ministry of Education announces the update of educational paths in the third episode starting from the academic year 2025-2026

Abu Dhabi, April 24/ WAM/ The Ministry of Education announced updates in educational paths for students of the third episode in government schools, and private schools that adopt the ministerial curriculum starting from the next academic year 2025-2026, after conducting in-depth field studies that included specialists in the educational field and parents and after analyzing students ’directions during previous years.

The announcement came during a media meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Education in Abu Dhabi in the presence of His Excellency Sarah Al -Amiri, Minister of Education, His Excellency Eng. Muhammad Al -Qasim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, and a number of ministry officials and representatives of national media.

The ministry indicated that it has redesigned educational paths in line with the students ’future directions and in a way that supports their university career and enhances their capabilities to keep pace with the transformations of the future labor market.

The Ministry was keen that the updates on educational paths include the compatibility of the curricula so that the foundations of scientific subjects for students of the public track are taught to ensure the refinement of their skills and talents, while the focus will be on the subjects of advanced science in the advanced path to qualify students to study scientific specializations in the university stage.

The Ministry confirmed that these updates will not affect the future academic plans for current students in the eleventh and twelfth grades; It revealed that within the public track, students of the public track can replace physics with one of the other subjects specified within the guiding guide issued by the ministry.

The Ministry also stressed the importance of identifying the eighth grades of their course in a manner that is compatible with their university aspirations, as the Ministry has set the mechanism and conditions for registration in the advanced path.

Under this update, the advanced path students will be able to follow their university studies in the fields of engineering, medicine, pharmacy and science of all kinds, along with all other specialties, while students of the general path will be able to study specializations in the fields of humanities and literary sciences, business administration, law, arts, social sciences, and police.

The Ministry also revealed that these updates came after communication and coordination with a number of higher education institutions in the country with the aim of ensuring the smoothness of the student’s journey from the stage of public education to the stage of university education and then the labor market easily and easily.

The Ministry circulated a number of guidelines and directives within the academic plan for the educational field, with the aim of helping educational cadres to provide students with a more comprehensive vision about building their academic plans and choosing the appropriate academic path for their aspirations, and ensuring that the paths are linked to the guiding standards to enroll in higher education institutions, and to issue a guide for parents and students that include details about these updates, while ensuring the activation of the role of the role Academic guides in providing support and guidance to students.
