The Journalists Association provides its content in sign language through an innovative technology based on artificial intelligence

Dubai, April 24 / WAM / The UAE Journalists Association and the Media Creativity Center launched an innovative service that relies on an advanced technology to convert the texts published on the association’s website to sign language automatically, in a pioneering step that reflects its commitment to digital inclusiveness and empowering people of determination.
This service, which comes within the “General Society” initiatives and the “Humm” project implemented by the association, aims to provide an easy and comprehensive experience for people of determination, and to enhance their active participation in the media scene.
The Emirati Journalists Association, through this initiative, which is based on artificial intelligence in translating sign language, is the first professional association in the region to provide its digital media content in an interactive way that takes into account the needs of this important group.
This qualitative service was launched by signing a partnership agreement with the “Tamkeen” Foundation and the “Suhail Smart Solutions” company, which reflects the association’s keenness to expand its societal and technological partnerships to serve the various groups in society.
Fadila Al -Muaini, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Journalists Association, stressed that the service represents a qualitative shift in developing comprehensive media, and embodies the association’s firm commitment to the concepts of totalitarianism and the rights of people with determination to reach the information, and she said: We are keen in the association to be pioneers in using technology to serve human being, where the artificial intelligence project in the language of reference aims to enhance totalitarianism, in integrating people with determination in the national media scene, and provides them with an opportunity to interact And follow the news easily.
His Excellency Al -Muaini pointed out that this initiative comes within the “Him” project, which focuses on empowering people of determination and their families through training and educational programs and interactive activities, stressing that the project reflects the UAE’s vision in promoting societal integration and achieving a more comprehensive and varied society, and said that the use of artificial intelligence in this context is a living model for harnessing modern technology in building an equal humanitarian society.
Qasim Al -Murshidi, Director General of Tamkeen Company, stressed the importance of fruitful cooperation with the UAE Journalists Association in using the latest technologies, especially artificial intelligence, to serve the owners of determination, noting that this service is the beginning of the areas of cooperation with the association, which will gradually expand to include many areas that benefit the Emirates community.
