The Ministry of Defense celebrates the graduation of 25 members of the program "Future leaders"

Dubai, April 24 / WAM / The Ministry of Defense, represented by the Office of His Highness the Minister of Defense, celebrated the graduation of the first batch of the “Future Leaders” program, in partnership with the Mohammed bin Rashid College of Government Administration.

This came during an official ceremony held at the Union Museum in Dubai, in the presence of a number of dignitaries and officials in the Ministry of Defense, and members of the College Board of Trustees, along with a group of leaders on both sides.

The organization of the ceremony came under the auspices of the office of His Highness the Minister of Defense, in the presence of Major General Tayyar Isaac Saleh Al -Balushi, Assistant Chief of Staff of the Joint Capabilities, and His Excellency Khalifa Rashid Al Hamli, Director of the Office of His Highness the Minister of Defense.

The ceremony witnessed the graduation of 25 associates of various levels and specialties in the Ministry of Defense after passing the stages of the program that the college designed and implemented according to the highest international standards to enhance efficiency and flexibility in government work and enable cadres to anticipate challenges and create solutions in line with the vision of the UAE and its efforts to enhance leadership and sustainability and build a government characterized by efficiency and competitiveness in various sectors.

Al -Balushi appreciated the efforts of the Mohammed bin Rashid College for Governmental Administration and those in charge of them in graduating specialized regiments from the youth of the country in various disciplines, which helps in developing their performance and leadership of their institutions and achieving the aspirations of the wise leadership and its forward -looking visits.

For his part, His Excellency Khalifa Rashid Al -Hamli said that the graduation of this batch of national leaders constituted an important step in enhancing the Ministry of Defense’s readiness to keep pace with global transformations in the fields of administration and leadership, by preparing cadres capable of assuming pioneering roles that contribute to sustaining government performance and supports the flexibility of our institutions in facing future challenges.

His Excellency Al -Hamli expressed his pride in the fruitful partnership with the Mohammed bin Rashid College of Governmental Administration, which provided an advanced educational environment that enabled the participants to acquire quality knowledge and skills that enhance their capabilities in dealing with the variables of the times, especially the digital transformation and artificial intelligence in line with the UAE’s vision in establishing competitiveness and leadership globally.

His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Sabaa Al -Marri, CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid College of Government Administration, congratulated the graduates on their achievement, stressing that investment in people represents a solid method for the UAE since its foundation at the hands of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “May God rest his soul”, to the directives of the rational leadership that puts the development of competencies and enabling them in the forefront of its priorities to ensure the leadership of the UAE International.

His Excellency pointed out that the presence of the leaders of the defense ministries embodies a firm commitment to the rehabilitation of national leaders in accordance with a strategic methodology that keeps pace with future transformations and enhances the state’s competitiveness by developing a proactive and flexible government work environment based on creativity, innovation and efficiency and keeps pace with future requirements and enhances stability and quality of life for future generations.

The “Future leaders” program targeted the preparation of a group of national leaders who are able to take pivotal roles in developing institutional performance within the ministry and enhancing a culture of excellence by providing them with applied skills and strategic knowledge necessary to support the sustainability of government work in light of the accelerated changes.

The axes of the program were distributed in 8 main areas that included global trends, the competitiveness of countries and modern public administration, the foresight of the future, the management of change and communication, institutional excellence and effective leadership.

The program also focused on contemporary challenges such as digital transformation and artificial intelligence and their impact on raising performance efficiency and providing services in line with the state’s vision of digital transformation and its strategy to achieve global leadership in the areas of artificial intelligence.

Within the framework of the program, the participants worked within five groups on qualitative executive projects that dealt with existing challenges and presented applied applicable solutions. These projects included initiatives to improve the work environment, activate smart work teams, develop planning tools, as well as support integration between the Ministry of Defense and vital sectors such as media, economics and technology in a way that contributes to raising national readiness and enhancing response flexibility.

During the program, the participants presented development visions that support the UAE strategic directions 2031 and the centenary of the Emirates 2071 by building leaders who possess the tools of change and understanding global trends and are able to employ national capabilities in the optimal way to keep pace with the growth and transformations of the next stage.
