Abu Dhabi Customs aspires a Jordanian delegation to its experience in digital transformation

Abu Dhabi, April 25/ WAM/ The General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs received a high -level delegation from the Jordanian Customs Department, on a three -day study visit, organized by the International Trade Center in Geneva (ITC) within the framework of a technical support program for the benefit of Jordanian customs, to see best practices and leading customs projects applied in Abu Dhabi, based on modern technologies and artificial intelligence applications, especially the field of risk management, Which adheres to global standards to facilitate cross -border trade and enhance the efficiency of supply and supply chains.
His Excellency Rashid Lahaj Al -Mansouri, Director General of Abu Dhabi Customs, welcomed the visiting delegation headed by the Director General of the Jordan Customs Department, the Customs Brigade, Ahmed Al -Aqalik, during his reception at the headquarters of the Abu Dhabi Customs in the presence of a representative of the International Trade Center.

The two sides discussed the ways to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences to achieve common goals in the areas of customs systems developing and raising the efficiency of operations.
The visit of the Jordanian delegation to Abu Dhabi Customs came based on a recommendation from the International Trade Center, in appreciation of the prominent achievements of Abu Dhabi Customs in digital transformation, as its experience is one of the global exceptional experiences in applying and developing the best customs practices, within an integrated system supporting business in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
The visit included detailed offers of live customs systems, in addition to field tours, during which the delegation was briefed on the new strategic plan for Abu Dhabi Customs 2024-2028, and strategic projects plans supporting the customs work in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and the strategy of digital transformation and advanced solutions provided to the customs and commercial community at the local and international levels.

The delegation learned about digital projects supporting non -oil economic growth, including the advanced data center and future reports project “Dhofra”, artificial intelligence, and the project of integrated customs risk management system “Ramah”.
