Inventory of “World Food” in Gaza due to the closure of the crossings

The United Nations World Food Program announced on Friday that all its food stocks in Gaza have been exhausted due to the continued closure of the crossings leading to the Strip.
The organization confirmed in a statement to reporters, “No humanitarian or commercial supplies have entered Gaza for more than seven weeks, as all the main border crossings are still closed. This is the longest closure in the Gaza Strip at all, which increases the exacerbation of the state of markets and fragile diets already.”
“Today, the World Food Program has handed over its remaining food stocks to the hot meals kitchens in the Gaza Strip. It is expected that food from these kitchens will be completely running out in the coming days,” the World Food Program said in a statement.
