Saif bin Zayed meets the Russian Minister of Interior in Moscow and witnesses the signing of a memorandum of understanding and the launch of the strategic police dialogue between the two countries

Moscow, April 29 / WAM / The team, His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, met during his visit to the Russian capital, Moscow, His Excellency Vladimir Colocoltsif, Minister of Interior in Russia Federal.

The meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the Russian Ministry of Interior in Moscow, witnessed the discussion of distinguished bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in the security and police fields and ways to enhance them, and a number of issues related to enhancing cooperation and joint international work were reviewed to enhance the security of societies.

His Highness and His Excellency the Russian Minister of the Interior signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in the field of crime combating between the Ministry of Interior in the United Arab Emirates and the Ministry of Interior in Russia in the field of crime control, in order to open broad prospects for coordination in exchanging information and experiences, implementing joint training programs, addressing organized crimes, drug crimes, sexual exploitation of children, as well as electronic and environmental crimes, and protecting cultural heritage.

The Emirati -Russian strategic dialogue, which enhances the strategic cooperation existing in all fields, was also launched to deepen relations and expand the prospects of experiences and knowledge in the areas of cross -border crime control, and exchange best practices applied in the two friendly countries to benefit from their distinguished experience in the areas of police work.

The meeting and ceremonies were attended by the Memorandum of Understanding, His Excellency Major General Khalifa Hareb Al -Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al -Marri, Commander -in -Chief of Dubai Police and Major General Sheikh Mohammed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Director General of Abu Dhabi Police and His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, Ambassador of the UAE to the Russian Federation, and a number of officials and officers from the UAE and Russian Ministry of Interior.
