His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, confirmed that Dubai has invested 150 billion dirhams in developing the road network and the transportation system, in 19 years, with the aim of providing the best infrastructure of its kind in the world.

His Highness pointed to the realization of the challenges of this sector, especially the crowding and traffic density file, and the application of innovative solutions that support the process of comprehensive development and enhance the quality of life in Dubai.

His Highness said in a post on the social media platform “X”: “Today I witnessed an aspect of the (bridges of communication), organized by the Roads and Transport Authority, with the participation of 50 bodies and institutions from the governmental and private sectors and real estate developers, along with more than 100 advisers, experts and engineers.”

His Highness added: “The event focused on the importance of the integration of efforts between the concerned authorities, partners and society regarding the infrastructure projects of the road network, transportation and transportation services, which are the main driver of the economy and the nerve of comprehensive development … The authority also reviewed its current and future projects and initiatives.”

His Highness continued: “During 19 years, the Dubai government invested 150 billion dirhams in developing the road network and the transportation system, so our goal is clear in providing the best infrastructure of its kind in the world, and we realize the rational challenges in this sector, especially the file of crowding and traffic intensity and we continue to implement innovative solutions in a way that supports the comprehensive development process and enhances the quality of life in Dubai.”
