"Civil aviation" Concludes a conference "Evata" With 6 Emirati worksheets

Abu Dhabi, May 2 / WAM / The General Authority of Civil Aviation concluded the work of the sixty -fourth annual conference of the International Federation of the Evata Air Watch Association, which was hosted by Abu Dhabi for the first time in the Middle East region, by presenting 6 working papers that focused on artificial intelligence, training and modern technology in the field of air traffic control with the participation of 690 participants representing 98 air control societies from different countries of the world. .
His Excellency Ahmed Ibrahim Al -Jallaf, Assistant Director General of the Air Navigation Services Sector at the General Authority of Civil Aviation, confirmed in his speech to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” on the sidelines of the closing day’s work, that the conference witnessed the provision of more than 128 international working papers, including 6 working papers from the UAE, which received a great praise from the participating delegations.
He explained that the UAE working papers have varied in its topics in a way that reflects the priorities of the UAE government in developing the aviation sector, and included: introducing artificial intelligence in air control, new training systems for air traffic monitors, the integrated education system in the air control sector, and whistling bureaucracy in the air traffic department, and modern technologies used in the UAE as one of the best practices in managing the airspace.
He pointed out that these papers were adopted by the “Evata” organization to merge into its agenda, in a way that contributes to the development of the global navigation system, and the paper related to the successful Emirati practices of the relevant organization has been handed over to study it as a role model.
Al -Jallaf touched on the “UAE Declaration”, which was signed during the first day of the event between the “Evata” organization and the “Kansu” organization, as it is an extremely important declaration that it highlights the global challenges resulting from the shortage of air traffic monitors, and calls on all countries and organizations to accelerate training and qualification of cadres to ensure the safety and effectiveness of air management.
He also pointed out that the UAE joined two committees out of three effective main committees within the “Evata” organization, in a move that strengthens the state’s presence at the international level in the decision -making in the air field, praising the role of national competencies of the youth and young women of the Emirates, who participated in preparing and providing working papers, stressing that the authority supports them by all possible means to enable them to assume leadership positions in the future.
Al -Jallaf appreciated the institutional partnership in organizing this international event, pointing to the cooperation between the General Authority of Civil Aviation as a federal authority, the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi represented by the Integrated Transport Center, and the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, in addition to the Emirates Aviation Association as a public benefit.
He stressed that the success of the conference reflects the strength of cooperation between the federal and local authorities and civil society institutions.
He said: We agree that this model of coordination must continue to organize the activities of the state, as the UAE has capabilities, capabilities, desire and directives from our wise leadership, to be at the forefront of those who constitute the future of aviation globally.
In a related context, Al-Jallaf explained that the UAE exceeded the levels of air traffic that was registered before the Kofid-19 pandemic since 2023, and the air traffic recorded a growth exceeding 23% during the years 2023 and 2024, indicating that the growth in the first quarter of this year reached 6.7%, which requires a continuous development of the infrastructure of the air field.
He talked about the launch of the fourth phase of the project to restructure the airspace of the UAE, pointing out that the National Committee for the Air field has already started preparing for the launch of this stage, with the aim of enhancing the ability of the airspace to absorb the expected growth in the air traffic during the coming years, indicating that the project will start early next year after its approval by the authority’s board of directors, and it is expected to be completed by the end of 2027 or early 2028.
He stressed that the organization, effective participation and qualitative proposals in such international conferences reflect the strength of the UAE’s presence in formulating the future of aviation, and its ability to be one of the main contributors to the decisions of this sector globally.
