Hamdan bin Zayed continues his inspection tour on the island of Dalma, and launches the Abbari “Dalma” and “Al -Dhamna”

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the governor’s representative in the Al Dhafra region, visited the island of Dalma, where a number of development projects and vital service facilities are being implemented, which aim to develop various sectors and enhance the quality of services provided to the island’s residents, in line with the comprehensive development process in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, Development and development of the Al Dhafra region, and a decent and stable life for citizens.

During the tour, His Highness was briefed on the progress of the work and the achievement rates in the projects, adding to the necessity of providing all the ingredients and specifications necessary to accomplish them in a way that serves the residents of Dalma Island of citizens, residents and visitors, and enhances the well -being of the local community.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan started his tour by launching two new phrases to enhance maritime transport to and from Dalma Island, in cooperation between the “Integrated Transport Center” and “Abu Dhabi Naval”.

The two phrases carry the names of “Dalma” and “Al -Dhaga”, and each of them accommodates 193 passengers and 25 vehicles, and they were provided with two internal elevators to facilitate the transportation of the owners of determination, along with comfortable seats and modern safety facilities.

The two phrases are characterized by a high operational ability, as one trip from Jabal al -Dhana to Dalma Island takes about 40 minutes, which is the maximum period of time that the two phrases take, which contributes to reducing the movement of mobility and enhancing the efficiency of the sea linking to the island. The two phrases are currently working at the rate of two trips daily back and forth.

His Highness also made an inspection tour of a number of infrastructure projects and public and recreational services on Dalma Island, which aims to provide high -quality services to the people of the region, in line with the vision of the Abu Dhabi government to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable renaissance in various sectors.

His Highness was briefed on the stages of implementation and the completion rates of a number of vital projects on Dalma Island, which include: the project to rehabilitate the infrastructure of residential lands, the new industrial zone, in addition to the rock protection project for the eastern coastal line near the airport runway, and the mountain bicycle track project aimed at supporting sports and tourism activities. His Highness directed the necessity of providing all the necessary operational ingredients and needs to ensure the completion of these projects efficiently, in line with the social, economic and development needs of the people of Al -Dhafra region of citizens and visitors.

His Highness also visited the Dalma Tourist Resort Project, the first resort on the island, which combines originality and modernity, and includes 20 chalets with distinctive designs, heritage camping sites, as well as entertainment facilities, restaurants and various marine activities.

In the context of his support for heritage, His Highness the Dalma Museum, after the restoration of the “House of Muhammad Bin Jassim Al -Muraikhi”, and reviewed his holdings of the tools of diving, pearls, pottery utensils and whale bones found in the 1990s.

At the end of his tour, His Highness praised the efforts made to preserve the cultural heritage of the island, stressing the importance of the Dalma Museum in promoting historical awareness and cultural identity, and its role in supporting cultural tourism and attracting visitors to the region.

During the visit, Nasser Muhammad Al -Mansoori, Undersecretary of the Diwan of the Ruler’s representative in the Al -Dhafra region, was accompanied by His Highness, along with a number of senior officials.
