“Jordanian businesswomen” organizes a session on empowering women in the tourism sector

The session shed light on government strategies in empowering Emirati and Gulf women to engage strongly in the media and tourism sectors, and the nature of the needs of Arab media women to enhance their role in promoting national tourism in a more influential way, and how sustainable tourism can contribute to empowering women and enhancing their role in society, especially in the Gulf countries.
He spoke at the session – which was moderated by Fadila Al -Muaini, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Journalists Association – Abdul Rahim Al -Nuaimi, CEO of Communication and Marketing at Abu Dhabi Media Company, Dr. Samia Al -Amiri, from the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, Khaled bin Abdul Rahman Al Daghim, President of the Gulf Association for Tourism Media, and Al -Hijjawi, Deputy Chairman of the Jordanian UAE Business Women Council, Rola Samir Al -Ali, member of the Council Administration of the Jordanian -Emirati Businesswomen Council, and Nuzha Gouradfi, Executive Director of the “NAW” company of the Nervana Holding Group.
Dr. Amal Al -Hadabi said that the session embodies the joint vision of the Council in strengthening the role of women in the media and tourism sectors, and enabling them to contribute effectively to economic and social development, as it focused on three main elements: media, tourism, and women, with two basic axes of the future of sustainable development, namely: empowering women as an effective power in the economy and society, and the role of tourism media in highlighting cultural identity and enhancing economic tourism in a way Responsible and influential.
She added that the session was a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences, and drawing features of new partnerships that look forward to the future, praising strategic partners, such as the Arab Federation for Tourism Media and the Gulf Society for Tourism Media, along with the UAE Journalists Association and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.
For his part, Dr. Sultan bin Khamis Al -Yahyai, President of the Arab Federation for Tourism Media, said that the Jordanian -Emirati Business Women Council plays an important role in empowering women and enhancing their participation in economic and social development, pointing out that the council represents an ideal platform for exchanging knowledge and building partnerships, appreciating the efforts made by the council to pave the way for women to be a leader, innovative and an impact maker that is a model to follow, noting that The future holds a lot of opportunities thanks to the determination and determination of the council members.
For her part, Salama Al -Shamsi, Director of the Palace of Al -Hosn – the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, indicated that empowering women is no longer a slogan, but rather a basic pillar in building a prosperous and sustainable future, stressing that women today are an active partner in the formulation of policies and decisions and stimulating the sustainable economy and noted the importance of integrating empowerment efforts with the media and tourism sectors, because they have a profound impact in enhancing the positive image of society and increasing Its competition regionally and globally.
She drew attention to the ability of the media to transfer success stories and break stereotypes, and to the role of tourism as a bridge for communication between peoples and an engine for cultural and economic development, with the increasing role of women in its leadership.
Salama Al Shamsi stressed the need to build a real partnership based on interaction and integration between various sectors, to open horizons for women as a leader and a decision maker, as well as enabling the media to support women’s issues, and employ tourism as an active tool for comprehensive development.
In turn, Fadila Al -Muaini said that the dialogue session reflected a joint commitment to enhance the role of women in the tourism and tourism media sectors, because of their direct impact in achieving sustainable development in our Arab environment, adding that the session was an opportunity to explore the multiple dimensions through which women can contribute effectively to stimulating the national economy and enhancing cultural and tourism exchange in the region.
During the session, the Arab Federation for Tourism Media honored the Liwan Foundation for Culture and Heritage, in appreciation of its pioneering role in preserving cultural identity and promoting national heritage, and supporting cultural and societal initiatives that highlight the Emirati heritage and establish cultural values of generations.
