Sharjah Electricity looks at the latest developments in technical solutions at a Berlin conference

The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, represented by the Department of Information and Communication Technology, Internal Audit and Risk Assessment – participated in the Governance, Compliance and Risk Department, in the work of the “Fortinet Acceleraate25” conference, which concluded yesterday in the German city of Berlin, with the participation of a group of international specialists and experts, to discuss increasing security challenges and provide innovative solutions that support digital transformation Safe.
The authority’s participation in the conference came in the context of its keenness to keep pace with the latest developments in the field of cyber information and security technologies and enhance its digital capabilities.
The conference was attended by the authority, Eng. Fatima Ali Asghar, Acting Director of Information and Communication Technology Department, and the engineer Asma Youssef Al -Hosani, Director of Governance, Risk, Compliance with the Department of Internal Audit and Risk Assessment, as they were briefed on a group of advanced technologies and integrated solutions to secure networks and digital infrastructure and use artificial intelligence to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Majid Issa Harim Al Shamsi, Executive Director of Institutional Support Services, explained that the authority’s participation in the conference confirms its constant commitment to adopting international best practices and investing in technical knowledge that enhances the readiness and continuity of regulations in the face of advanced cyber threats.
Engineer Fatima Ali indicated that participating in the attendance of the conference is an opportunity to identify global trends in cybersecurity and exchange experiences with specialists from various countries, which contributes to the correct evaluation and benefit from advanced solutions, in line with the strategy of the digital transformation of the authority.
The engineer, Asma Youssef Al -Hosani, explained that the conference focused on compliance and data governance, and strengthened our conviction of the importance of combining governance policies with technical solutions, and we will work to study the possibility of employing these solutions, to support the compliance system and our risk management in a deeper and more integrated way.
