Sharia arrives in Paris on the first visit to Europe

Syrian interim President Ahmed Al -Sharaa arrived in Paris today, Wednesday, to hold talks with French President Emmanuel Macron, on his first trip to Europe since he took office in January, and the visit is a possible start to establish wider relations with Western countries.

Sharia is scheduled to meet with Macron early this evening, according to the official Syrian media.

The Syrian News Agency stated that Al -Shara will discuss with Macron the issue of reconstruction and economic cooperation, especially in the aviation energy sectors, as well as the ongoing Israeli strikes and Syrian relations with Lebanon.

The Elysee Palace said that Macron will once again confirm France’s support for “free, stable and sovereign Syria, which respects all components of Syrian society”, and will also stress the importance of regional stability, especially in Lebanon, as well as combating terrorism.

On the sidelines of their visit to the Republic of France, they will meet Farid Al -Mazman, known as “Caesar”, who took thousands of pictures of bodies distorted by torture in the centers of detention and prisons in Syria during the rule of Bashar al -Assad.
