Lifting the travel ban due to “rental claims” with “the push of a button” through the Dubai Police website and application

Dubai Police has added a direct payment mechanism for the obligations imposed on people against whom a circular and travel ban have been issued due to rental claims, allowing them to lift the ban immediately as part of updating a package of services through its website that includes the “service of inquiring about circulars and travel bans.”

She revealed during a press conference held this morning, at the Dubai Police Officers Club, that the latest update to the service for inquiring about circulars and travel bans provides great facilities to individuals, whether inside or outside the country, by allowing them to pay the amounts imposed on them, by entering through the digital identity service (UAE PASS), to lift the ban immediately within seconds, contrary to what was previously decided, as these procedures required submitting requests to the competent authorities and reviewing them.

She stated that the modernization includes, in its first phase, the Rental Disputes Resolution Centre, as any person against whom a circular or travel ban has been issued due to rental financial claims can enter the service and pay the amount electronically and lift the ban, and it is currently working on coordinating with the Dubai Courts and the Public Prosecution to include the circulars issued by the two departments within the service.

The Dubai Police General Command announced the launch of the “second generation” of the Dubai Police website and the smart application, in addition to the launch of the “Lawyers Platform” with 7 digital legal services specifically directed to the category of lawyers and legal consultants, which contributes to speeding up procedures, raising performance efficiency, and enriching the customer experience and making it more flexible and reliable.

Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Administration Affairs, Chairman of the Customer Happiness Council at Dubai Police, Major General Dr. Saleh Abdullah Murad, confirmed that the Dubai Police General Command, under the guidance of the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, is keen to sustain the development of its technical work system in order to achieve the desired goals of flexible and rapid access for customers to security, traffic, community, and criminal services, and in a way that supports its strategic directions in making the community happy, enhancing security, and building innovative capabilities. Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence, Major General Khalid Nasser Al Razouqi, explained that artificial intelligence has today become a fundamental focus in the development of modern police work systems, indicating that Dubai Police is working according to a clear vision that aims to transform data and advanced technologies into effective tools in supporting decision-making, improving the efficiency of services, and raising the level of integration between systems.

He added: “We launched the second generation of the Dubai Police website and smart application, in accordance with the approved digital identity, and in a way that reflects the comprehensive development in content and digital services. The website and application provide their services in 7 languages approved by the United Nations, and more than 268 languages supported by artificial intelligence systems. We also launched 7 digital services in the law and justice sector, in accordance with the approved legal frameworks and controls, without prejudice to the regulatory procedures, which reflects the proactive approach of Dubai Police in building a digital system capable of learning.” And continuous improvement, to keep pace with the needs of partners and customers alike, especially since these services would enhance the reliability of procedures and the accuracy of outputs, in addition to supporting integration between relevant parties within a unified digital framework.”
