The Sharjah Executive Committee approves the mechanism for licensing agricultural lands in the emirate

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council, chaired this Tuesday morning, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, the Council meeting that was held in the office of His Highness the Ruler.
During its meeting, the Council discussed a group of general topics related to the conduct of government work, and discussed the general policies of government departments and bodies, and their role in achieving the vision and strategy of the Emirate of Sharjah.
The Council approved the agricultural land licensing mechanism in the Emirate of Sharjah, which aims to support farm owners and encourage them to engage in productive agriculture by providing packages of quality services and necessary facilities, and obtaining an official license to practice agricultural production activities in the emirate according to a clear mechanism and integrated framework that ensures the activation of the role of the relevant partners and the farmers’ commitment to the highest standards of quality and food safety, and enhancing opportunities for agricultural investment and local production.
The Council discussed a draft law regulating the use of drones in the Emirate of Sharjah, which comes in line with the development and leadership of the aviation sector in the country. The Council directed that the draft law include a set of observations and refer it to the Advisory Council of the Emirate of Sharjah.
The Council reviewed the report on the achievements of the Sharjah Award for Volunteer Work, which included the award’s strategic plan that works to enhance competition in volunteer work, spread and enhance the culture and values of volunteerism in society, and achieve institutional excellence in the performance of the award.
The report showed the statistics of participation in the award, which reached 292 participants competing for 14 categories of the award. The report also showed the growth in the numbers participating and the increase in categories, including various segments and volunteer fields, such as veteran figures, entities, supporters, volunteer teams, students, suburbs, and initiatives.
