Bangladesh prohibits the former Prime Minister Party

The interim government in Bangladesh has banned the Awami Association party, to which former Prime Minister Sheikha Hasina belongs, according to officials, pending her trial on charges of “crimes against humanity”, while suppressing the protests that led to her last year.

“It was decided to ban the activities of the (Awami Association), including the electronic space, under the Anti -Terrorism Law, until the trial of (Awami Association) and his leaders end.”

Sheikha Hasina is still in her optional exile in India, and the new Dhaka authorities have issued an arrest warrant against her on charges of “massacres, killing and crimes against humanity.”
