An Emirati delegation concludes a visit to Sweden to enhance cooperation in the field of advanced research and technology
Abu Dhabi, May 12/ WAM/ The UAE delegation headed by His Excellency Omran Sharaf, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Advanced Science and Technology, concluded a two -day successful tour in Stockholm, Sweden. During the visit, ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed in the areas of biological, emerging and advanced technologies, and to push cooperation between the two sides to new horizons by exploring joint strategic opportunities, and supporting technology security at the global level.
The visit also aimed to enhance cooperation areas to include new areas of strategic importance, including innovation, research and development (R&D). This confirms the commitment of the UAE to consolidate its partnership with Sweden in these areas.
The delegation held meetings with many high -level Swedish parties, including the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including the International Cooperation and Foreign Trade Sector, the Ministry of Education and the Swedish Research Council, and other governmental and private destinations concerned with technology. The discussions focused on researching areas of common concern, and establishing the basis for building long -term partnerships that enhance innovation, economic growth and technological progress.
The delegation included Sheikha Al -Yazia bint Sultan Al Nahyan, an adviser to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdel Aziz Al -Dossary, CEO of the TV Technology Research Council (ATRC), Bilal Hamwi, regional general manager from G42, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Emirates Space Agency, the Emirates Research and Development Council, the Toward Technology Research Council (ATRC), G42, and a company Edge, and the delegation was accompanied by His Excellency the Excellency Shaheen, the UAE ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden.
