A qualitative presence of “Cairo Film” in the “Cannes Festival” activities

The activities of the seventy -eighth session of the “Cannes International Film Festival” will start today, Tuesday evening, in a large and qualified global celebration of cinema and the stars of “Seventh Art”, throughout the festival period, which will continue until the twenty -fourth of May.
The “Cairo International Film Festival”, with an extraordinary, unprecedented participation, is attended by “Kan Film”, through a large group of various activities, which highlight the pivotal role of the festival in supporting the Egyptian and Arab cinema industry, and enhancing its presence on the global scene.

The star Hussein Fahmy, head of the Cairo Film Festival, reviews a discussion session entitled “From Hollywood to Cairo: Linking American and Egyptian Cinematic Industries”, as possible as possible cooperation between filmmakers in Egypt and the United States, with a focus on joint projects, which make a qualitative shift in independent cinema. This session is one of the most prominent activities expected in the Cannes Festival, as it highlights the tremendous opportunities that Egypt offers as a global cinematic destination.

In the context of supporting Arab cinema, the critic Mohamed Tariq, the coach of the Cairo Film Festival, will participate in a session entitled “Building links between Arab Film Festivals”, and this session discusses the importance of cooperation between Arab festivals; To support local and regional filmmakers, focusing on building a strong network of festivals, which works together; To enhance the cinema industry in the region.
Among the most prominent activities in which the Cairo International Film Festival participates, within the activities of the Cannes Festival, a session entitled: “The New Wave: Shedding light on the emerging Arab film makers”, and is managed by critic Mohamed Sayed Abdel Rahim, director of the Cairo Film Forum, and the session focuses on reviewing the contributions of the new generation of Arab films in the reshaping of Arab cinema, and how festivals can support these emerging talents; To achieve global successes. The wing also organizes two sessions; To enhance joint production, and highlight Egypt as a global cinematic destination.
As the artist Hussein Fahmy participates in a discussion session, entitled “Egypt: The Polseful Film State in the Arab World”, and the session aims to shed light on the leadership of Egypt in the Arab cinema industry, and its pivotal role in exporting successful films globally, where the session is organized in cooperation between the Arab Cinema Center, and (MDF_CANNENS), and is run by journalist Nick Farily, The correspondent of the “Variety” magazine for the Italian region and the Middle East, and the session brings together a selection of influential personalities in the Egyptian and Arabic cinema industry.
The participation of the “Cairo International Film Festival” in the activities and activities of the “Cannes Film Festival”, for the year 2025, is highlighted by Egypt’s message to the world, that Egyptian cinema is not just a local industry, but rather a global cultural force capable of influencing and inspiring, as this participation reflects Egypt’s pioneering role in the film industry, not only at the Arab level, but on the international scene.
