Abdullah Al -Hamid meets the editors of local media institutions

Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamid, Chairman of the National Media Office, Chairman of the Emirates Media Council, stressed that the development of the national media scene represents a continuous path based on the directives of the rational leadership that believes in the role of conscious media as a major partner in supporting the development process and consolidating the values of the national identity.
This came during the meeting of Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamid, chief editors of local media institutions at the headquarters of the influencers in the Emirates towers in Dubai, which was devoted to discussing the prospects for developing media work and enhancing partnership between media institutions, in a way that contributes to the production of purposeful national content, reflects the values of the state and keeps pace with the aspirations of its society.
Abdullah Al -Hamid praised at the beginning of the meeting, the efforts of the editor -in -chief to consolidate a media discourse that reflects the state’s achievements and its advanced civilized model, stressing the importance of the next stage, which requires greater integration between the various media platforms, and an investment in national competencies and creative content, in a way that enhances the competitiveness of the national media at the regional and international levels.
The meeting dealt with a number of issues related to enhancing the role of the media in supporting stability and development, and reviewed the challenges related to the digital media scene, especially in light of the escalation of campaigns of misinformation and distortion on social media platforms.
In this context, Abdullah Al Hamid stressed the importance of building a coherent national media narrative that honestly expresses the reality and values of the UAE, calling for relying on credibility and professionalism in transferring facts.
He affirmed the National Media Office’s keenness to continue coordination with various media institutions, and to intensify efforts to consolidate an advanced institutional media model, capable of facing challenges, foresight of the future, and strengthening the state’s position regionally and internationally.
Abdullah Al -Hamid called for the development of national media strategies that are in line with the directives of the wise leadership, and keep pace with technological and digital transformations, stressing the role of the media in facing rumors and addressing attempts to negatively affect public opinion, and enhancing society’s awareness through real stories narrated from the heart of the field.
Abdullah Al -Hamid touched on the importance of crystallizing a media message that addresses the interior and abroad, and embodies the human values that distinguish the UAE as a destination for tolerance and justice, calling for highlighting these values in the national media discourse, reflecting the true image of the Emirates against the world.
For their part, the chief editors of local media institutions expressed their appreciation for the keenness of the head of the National Media Office to open direct communication channels with media leaders, stressing the importance of these meetings in uniting efforts and enhancing cooperation and praised his call to consolidate professional standards, empowering youth, and developing media content to keep pace with the state’s aspirations for the next stage.
