Al -Zyoudi: The United States is the largest commercial partner for the Emirates outside Asia
Abu Dhabi, May 15 / WAM / His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al -Zyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, confirmed that the United States of America is a strategic commercial partner for the UAE, and that there is a common will from the two friendly countries to continue to improve this partnership in all fields – and in the heart of their commercial partnership – to new levels of growth and prosperity, in order to achieve common interests of the two sides.
His Excellency said that the visit of His Excellency Donald Trump, President of the United States of America to the state at the head of a high -level delegation that includes a large number of ministers and senior officials in addition to a group of American business leaders, comes as an expression of the desire to continue to improve long -term relations between the two friendly countries, by exploring more opportunities to build partnerships between business community on both sides.
He added: “We continue to work with our partners in the United States in a harmonious way to develop strategic trade relations, to ensure the continuation of the prosperity of bilateral relations and enhance the smooth flow of goods, services and capital necessary to stimulate joint economic growth.”
He pointed out that the United States of America continues to maintain its position as the largest commercial partner of the UAE outside the continent of Asia, and the sixth largest commercial partner for the state globally, with a share of 4% of the total non -oil Emirates trade with the world, and with the value of Baltical trade flows amounting to 32.8 billion dollars in 2024.
His Excellency Dr. Thani Al -Zyoudi stressed that there are promising prospects to continue stimulating inter -commercial and investment flows by accelerating constructive cooperation in sectors of common concern, including clean energy, sustainable industrial development and advanced technology, as the UAE and the United States have a full record of achievements in these promising areas.
