Milan, May 17 / WAM / The Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah reviewed the emirate’s efforts in supporting the Arabic language and enhancing its presence in Western academic circles and its scientific and knowledge initiatives to enrich Arab studies and research in international universities during a dialogue session entitled “The efforts of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah to support the Arabic language in the West” within the main events to open the “Arabic Language and Culture Festival” in the Italian city of Milan, which was organized by the Institute of Arab Culture at the University The Catholic Heart of the Bible in Milan sponsored by the Sharjah Book Authority.

Dr. Muhammad Safi Al -Mostaghanemi, Secretary -General of the Arabic Language Complex in Sharjah, spoke in the dialogue session, as he affirmed that Arabic, with its identity container and a bridge to communicate between peoples who still have the love of its children and the passion of students from the orientalists and others in Asia and Europe, which is translated to great services that contributed to the consolidation of their position globally.

Al -Mostaghanemi reviewed the “Language Oglasty” initiative launched by the Synod under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, where Sharjah hosts academic delegations from Western international universities, Austrian, Polish, Italian, and others, so the participants live among its people and draw from its cultural environment, which deepens their linguistic outcome and exceeds the limits of theoretical lessons.

He also referred to the “Comprehensive Arabic Encyclopedia” project supervised by the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, stressing that these projects embody the vision of Sharjah in supporting and highlighting Arabic is a cognitive and humanitarian tributary that transmits ideas and cultures between nations.
