The Chilean authorities had previously announced that a medical plane crashed near Santiago minutes away from take -off, killing six people who were all on board.
The official in the local government in the Santiago Gonzalo Duran said that members of the Chilean Air Force had found the wreckage of the plane during a sortie on a helicopter and later confirmed that there were no survivors.
