America: A mass collision involving about 70 vehicles on a highway in Colorado

Cause A collective collision involving about 70 vehicles, causing a traffic jam on part of A highway was covered in snow in the US state of Colorado yesterday, sending eight people to the hospital.

The Colorado State Police Patrol said in a statement: "The traffic snarl prompted officials to close the east side of Interstate 70 in Clear Creek County, about 80 kilometers west of Denver."

Officials evaluated the injuries of 19 people, and transported eight of them to hospital, including one person. "He was seriously injured"according to the State Patrol.
