Washington will not extend temporary sanctions relief on Russian oil


Declare U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Besent said Washington does not intend to extend the temporary sanctions relief on Russian oil, which made it possible to sell quantities of it at sea.
Besant said in a press conference on Wednesday: "We will not renew the general license related to Russian oil"
Besant’s statement comes one day after the US Treasury Department announced that it did not intend to extend the decision to ease sanctions that had been approved for a temporary period on some Iranian oil.

Brent crude futures fell 44 cents, or 0.5%, to $94.49 per barrel by 21:00 GMT.
US West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell 70 cents, or 0.8%, to $90.59 per barrel.
