"ADNOC" Expect an agreement with "Tobasx" To localize advanced technology in oil and gas production

Abu Dhabi, May 19 / WAM / ADNOC announced today, during the activities of “Make in the Emirates” held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with the world’s leading Topasx company in advanced pipe solutions, with the aim of settling an important advanced technology for production in the oil and gas sector, which contributes to enhancing the flexibility of the industrial base in the UAE.
Under the agreement, “ADNOC” obtains exclusive and permanent rights to use the advanced “Sinten Prime” technology for the connections of the pipelines needed to complete the oil and gas wells, in conjunction with reducing costs and enhancing the elasticity of supply chain.
“Topasx” will also establish a research and development center specializing in Abu Dhabi, to be a platform for advanced engineering operations, and to train national cadres with high skills within the country and develop their capabilities and experiences.
Musabah Al -Kaabi, CEO of the Exploration, Development and Production Department at ADNOC, said: This strategic partnership represents an important step to ensure ADNOC obtains basic technology to complete the oil and gas wells, in a way that establishes the company’s position as a reliable energy provider globally, and enhances its efforts as a major shareholder in supporting national industrial capabilities, welcome to invest “Topasx” in establishing a center for research and development in Abu Dhabi, because of its role in transferring knowledge and technology, enabling national competencies, and supporting the goals of “Make in the Emirates”.
It is worth noting that “OCTG) are metal tubes intended for use in many processes related to drilling and production in oil and gas wells, and their production is subject to strict criteria in terms of strength, durability and reliability, due to their use under the surface of the earth in high pressure environments and high temperatures.
