“Food and Drug” launches a digital campaign to raise awareness of the safe use of home medical devices and supplies

The Food and Drug Authority launched a digital awareness campaign aimed at raising awareness among community members of the safe use of home medical devices and supplies, as part of its continuous efforts to promote public health, and within the framework of its fourth strategy. The campaign aims to deliver awareness messages and practical instructions via digital media and social media platforms, to ensure that it has effectively reaching various segments of society, and contributing to promoting health safety.

The authority stresses the importance of making sure when purchasing these devices that the facility is licensed, and provides guarantee and post -sales services, including maintenance when needed, and stresses the need to verify that the medical device or requirement has a license and a certificate of marketing permission.

In light of the multiplicity of species and specifications, the authority recommends consulting the specialized health practitioner to choose the most appropriate type of pathological condition, with the need to see the instructions for use and care, and obtain the necessary training when needed before purchasing.

Among the general guidelines; Ensure that there is an instructions for use in both Arabic and English, retaining the purchase bill, and removing devices from the reach of children or pets to avoid any futility that may affect settings or electrical wires, as well as adherence to periodical and periodic maintenance.
