Dubai Islamic contributes 10 million dirhams to the “Limit Life” campaign

Dubai Islamic announced its pledge to contribute 10 million dirhams in support of the “Have a Life” campaign to save 5 million children from starvation, which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, to raise at least one billion dirhams to be invested in combating child hunger in the world.
The “End Life” campaign falls under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation, and is organized in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Save the Children, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, and Action Against Hunger.
Dubai Islamic’s contribution to the campaign comes as part of a broad societal response at the state level, reflecting the established values of giving, solidarity and human solidarity in Emirati society, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
The global humanitarian campaign focuses in particular on children at risk of hunger in the neediest communities globally, especially in areas affected by conflict and natural disasters.
Global estimates indicate that five children under the age of five die every minute as a result of hunger and malnutrition, which highlights the scale of the challenges and the urgent need for coordinated global action to confront them.
Director of Community Support Services at Dubai Islamic, Nawaf Al Raisi, said that the “End Life” campaign emphasizes the importance of uniting joint humanitarian efforts to mobilize support and resources to confront one of the most pressing global challenges facing the neediest communities today.
He added: “Millions of children face the daily threat of hunger and malnutrition in various parts of the world, which makes such initiatives an urgent necessity.”
He continued: “Our institutional values at (Dubai Islamic) are based on responsibility and integrity, and on the firm belief in the pivotal and effective role of institutions in supporting the stability of societies and contributing to achieving social well-being in addition to their economic role. Our contribution to the campaign reflects our continued commitment to supporting efforts aimed at protecting children most in need, providing the necessary community support, as well as contributing to building a safer and more sustainable future for future generations.”
Child hunger is one of the most serious global challenges affecting the basic right to life, which makes addressing it a humanitarian and moral priority. It is estimated that about 118 million children around the world will face hunger in 2025, while one in every four children under the age of five suffers from acute malnutrition, which highlights the scale of the challenge and the need to intensify international efforts to address it.
