المملكة: New achievement .. The second kingdom over the G20 countries in the communications index

The Kingdom has achieved a new exceptional achievement by obtaining the second place in the Group of Twenty’s countries in the ICTRGULATORY TRACKER Sector Evolution for the International Telecommunication Union for 2024.
This achievement is an affirmation of the progress of the telecommunications and technical sector in the Kingdom and the promotion of organizational innovation, the establishment of advanced digital infrastructure, the application of effective organizational tools for the telecommunications and technology market, in addition to its commitment to providing an attractive and stimulating organizational environment for investment and the growth of digital economy, which enhances the Kingdom’s position as a leading regulatory force at the international level.

Technology and Technology Sector

The Communications, Space and Technology Authority explained that the index aims to support decision makers and organizational bodies in keeping pace with the developments of this vital sector, and measures the development of the organizational environment for the communications and technical sector in (194) countries around the world and is based on (50) standards distributed on four main axes: the independence of the organizational authority, organizational powers, organizational framework and competition framework in the sector.
This achievement is an extension of a number of international successes achieved by the Kingdom in the telecommunications and technical sector, and continued to enhance its global position by achieving the highest rankings and advanced centers.
It maintained the second position among the G20 countries in the Communications and Technology Development Index for the year 2024 for two consecutive years, in addition to achieving the second place within the G20 in the United Nations Telecom Infrastructure Index (TII).
