"Sharjah Electricity" 53% of the natural gas network in Qatina 1 is accomplished

Sharjah, May 20/ WAM/ The Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, Sharjah, completed 53% of the natural gas network project in the Qatina 1 region, which is 18 km long and more than 350 beneficiaries benefit at a cost of more than 1.7 million dirhams.

Engineer Ibrahim Al -Balghouni, Director of Natural Gas Department at the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, confirmed that the authority is working to implement the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah regarding the delivery of natural gas services to new regions and the development of strategic plans to expand the gas network in all regions of the emirate.

He explained that the authority is implementing natural gas projects according to the best standards of security and safety and conducting continuous studies to establish stations and implement the necessary extensions in the emirate with the aim of providing gas services for all regions and future expansions, pointing out that gas pumping stations have a great ability to absorb any expected expansion in the use of natural gas.
