Training 360 students on theater, cinema, music and visual arts

The Association of Culture and Arts in Dammam, along with the association’s branches in Riyadh and Jeddah, continues to implement the activities of the training program “The Freedom of Art”, which is held in the headquarters of the associations in the three cities and will continue until tomorrow, Thursday.
The program targets the male and female students of the middle and high school, with the aim of refining their talents and enhancing their skills in various technical fields.
In this context, Youssef Al -Harbi, President of the Culture and Arts Association in Dammam, explained that the program “The Art Journey” started last Sunday in a simultaneous manner in Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Education departments in those areas, and with the support of the Associations Support Fund of the Ministry of Culture.

Technical training workshops

Al -Harbi added that the program includes a number of artistic training workshops that take place over a period of five days, and include theater paths, cinema, music, and visual arts, and it is held daily from five in the evening until seven in the evening, with the participation of about 120 trainees in each city, with 25 students per path.
Al -Harbi stressed that the program came to enhance students’ skills in this age group, in line with the Kingdom’s tendency towards cultural and artistic aspects.
He pointed to the great demand for the program, and that the technical impact offered by the projects resulting from the workshop is the most important, so that this experience is a gateway and aspiration for them towards being able to pass them on their artistic passion and launch to future and professional workshops, revealing the existence of a plan for training more in the future.

Support young talents

Abdulaziz Al -Ismail, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts, stressed that the program comes as an extension of the role of the association in supporting young talents, rooting arts and promoting artistic culture in society.
Al -Ismail praised the support of His Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture, to enable the non -profit sector, and to support the Associations Support Fund for this qualitative program.
In turn, Khaled Al -Baz, the general manager of the association, expressed his thanks to the Ministry of Education for its fruitful cooperation in implementing the program through the nomination of male and female students, stressing that the workshops aim to establish technical skills for young people.

The fields of theater and cinema

Al -Baz revealed that the program will be completed in its second stage during the coming period, through an intense training camp for three weeks in the city of Riyadh, which is devoted to distinguished trainees in the first stage, provided that the events will be concluded with the establishment of artistic performances of training outcomes in the fields of theater, cinema and music, in addition to an art exhibition for the work of participants in the visual arts.
A number of coaches expressed their positive impressions; Where the music coach, Salman Jaham, stated that the course aims to raise cultural awareness of the importance of studying the arts, and that these young people are the product of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision to create an educated generation and a scholar of art, indicating that music is a global language and its mastery opens the horizons.
The coach and movie maker Mortada Al -Hamoud explained that the passion and enthusiasm are clear to the students, promising the generation of films and ideas in the era of technology where the content is the goal.

Abbas’s photography coach drew on Thursday to the splendor of these programs, as they are outside the classroom and support students’ hobbies, which reflects the interest of the authorities concerned with extracurricular activities and the great interaction with them.
The trainees participated in their impressions; The student Ayman Khawaja confirmed from the course of the films that he learned a lot about planning and writing the story and aspiring to be a great way out.
The trainee in the path of the theater, Al -Aqeelah Ibrahim, indicated that the program gave her the opportunity to talk to the audience and play the role in a merit.
The trainee in the film track, Ryan Al -Bahr, said that the program is fun and allowed him to identify multiple artistic aspects in the cinema, while the trainee Raneem Al -Sada from the same path made it clear that she learned a lot about montage programs and that discussions and transfer of experiences added a lot to her.
