Kalba and Khor Fakkan crowned the Sharjah Athletics Championship for Junior and Cubs

Sharjah, May 21 / WAM / Nadia Kalba and Khor Fakkan crowned the first edition of the Sharjah Sports Council for Athletics for the Class and Cubs, which the Council organized by Al -Thiqa Club for the Disabled, with the participation of 60 players from 8 clubs.
Kalba Club achieved the first place in the junior category with 6 medals, after its players shine in the 100 m, 200 m and 800 m, along with the field competitions, while the Sharjah Club came second, and the Hamriyah third.
In the Cubs category, Khorfakkan also leads the overall ranking with 6 medals, ahead of Hamriyah and Maliha, thanks to the brilliance of his players in the long jump and the disc.
The tournament witnessed the participation of Al -Thiqa Club for the disabled, as Issa Al -Balushi won the first place in the 100m race for people with determination.
Mohamed Obaid Al -Hossan, Director of the Council of Sports and Development Affairs of the Council, stressed that the tournament comes within the framework of the council’s keenness to discover talents and develop athletics, noting that the owners of the first places will have qualification programs that include internal and external training camps.
