Fly Dubai will resume its flights to Damascus from June 01

Fly Dubai announced today the resumption of its direct flights to the Syrian capital, Damascus, from 01 June 2025. The carrier will occupy its daily flights to Damascus International Airport (DMM) from Building 2 at Dubai International Airport (DXB).

Commenting on the resumption of flights to Syria, Ghaith Al -Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai, said: “We are pleased to be the first Emirati airline to resume its flights to Syria after 12 years.

Damascus was one of the first flydubai, as its flights began nearly 16 years ago in June 2009. Flydubai’s decision to resume its flights to Damascus comes after the public authority in the UAE (GCAA) announced the resumption of flights between the two countries in April this year.

Jion Effendi, Senior Regional Vice President – Trade and E -Commerce in Flydubai said: “Returning trips to Damascus allows travelers from the Emirates and through our growing network to enjoy comfortable travel options directly to Syria. The blessed and the peak season of summer travel.

The flydubai network grew to cover more than 130 destinations in 56 countries, 98 of which were markets that are not served on direct flights from Dubai or the UAE. Flydubai is running a new and active fleet of 88 Boeing 737 aircraft.


Details of trips

The flights to Damascus International Airport (DMM) will be operated daily from Building 2 at Dubai International Airport as of 01 June 2025.
